About the Position:
Serve as Chief of the Logistics Branch and Property Book Officer (PBO), Training Support Center (TSC) for the Directorate of Plans, Trainings, Mobilization and Security at Fort Sill, Oklahoma. Responsible for directing the forecasting of mission supply requirements in support of the overall TSC mission to include stock fund, item management, inventory management, and analysis of stock status. Inventory management to ensure a minimal and cost-efficient level of excess.
Duties
Analyze current and future supply requirements of the Training Support Center (TSC).
Plan for the proper parts determination, reservation, acquisition, and issue to assure effective production accomplishment and responsiveness of the the TSC to customer mission requirements.
Selects and assembles Training Aids, Devices, Simulators, and Simulations (TADSS) and equipment for over-the-counter issue.
Edit and update TS-MATS database.
Retrieve data and prepare a variety of reports.
Monitor and guide subordinates in review of all requisitions from the TSC.
Receive special assignments involving production and other related problems at the branch, division, and, as applicable, directorate and depot level.
Develop reports including charts, graphs and diagrams of work methods and procedures for improvement or feasibility of operations.
Assign work to employees or to sections or assigns employees to positions based on a selective consideration of such factors as difficulty and requirements of assignments.
Prepare formal performance evaluation and review evaluations prepared by subordinate supervisors.
Use Training Support-Materiel Armywide Tracking System (TS-MATS).
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Position requires to be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance.
- The incumbent of this position is required to operate assigned government vehicles such as passenger sedans, trucks up to and including 5-ton, and forklift trucks capable of lifting loads up to 3,000 pounds as high as 300 inches.
- This position requires a pre-employment physical for a regular and recurring requirement for moderate lifting (i.e., 15-44 pounds.)
- Employee is required to observe established safe working procedures. Appropriate protective clothing and/or equipment is provided to minimize or eliminate hazardous conditions, and its use is mandatory.
- Defense National Relocation Program will NOT be authorized.

- Permanent Change of Station (PCS) allowances may be authorized.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Conduct quality control inspections in order to minimize errors in inventory. 2) Utilize automated supply systems to track the location of equipment. 3) Update property books to reconcile transactions. AND 4) Distribute workload to ensure maximum utilization of manpower. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).

Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Supply Management or Logistics. OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
