Develops customer relationships and maintain an in-depth knowledge of military service components to include the mission,...cont
structure and needs across the globe in order to determine short/long term disposal and reutilization requirements and solutions
Conducts training on Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Disposition Services programs and systems on disposal and reutilization requirements
Acts as the initial strategic point of contact in communicating requirements and operational issues
Serves as an advocate for the Military Service Components for DLA Disposition Services
Provides technical assistance in logistics, property management, disposal reutilization, Hazardous Material (HAZMAT), Waste (HAZWASTE) and demilitarization.
Serves as a team leader on special projects, making functional assignments, outlining problems, and determining objectives of assignments.

Qualifications
To qualify for a Military Services Liaison your resume and supporting documentation must support:
1. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-12 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:
Forecasting and planning methodologies in order to assist with long-range planning, forecasting and short-term disposal and reutilization requirements.
Researching and interpreting agency policy, regulations, and objectives in applying guidelines to conform local requirements by use of initiative, resourcefulness in researching, implementing and developing better methods and procedures
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Education
Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
