About the Position: This position is a TERM Not to Exceed 2 Years Appointment with option for conversion: To be eligible for conversion, employee must complete at least 2 years of current continuous service under a term appointment in the competitive service AND employee must have a current performance rating under such term appointment of at least fully successful or equivalent.

Duties

Serve as the Manpower and Personnel Support Analyst and liaison. Perform manpower and personnel alignment and compliance tasks for the overall mission of the organization. Develop methods to improve employee development policies, processes, and practices and recommended changes to management. Assist on the interpretation of regulations regarding policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• Temporary Duty (TDY) travel required up to 5%.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes providing personnel management support for areas such as organizational structure, performance, personnel actions, or training; providing recommendations for changes to improve work processes and correct deficiencies; AND assist in the management of manpower budget. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12)
