You will serve as a IT SPECIALIST (CUSTSPT) in the MODERNIZATION & INSTALLATION, 42100 of NAVWARSYSCEN PACIFIC SAN DIEGO CA.
Duties
You will coordinate efforts conducted with Systems Program Managers, Project Leads, OSICs, Project Officers, IPT Leads, Advanced Planning, and other stakeholders concerning all aspects of hardware and software installation issues.
You will provide scheduling support to the development of the test sequencing plan and Integrated Government Schedule (IGS) that details the timing and sequence of testing activities for C4ISR systems installed by NAVWAR.
You will have knowledge in regarding the installation, integration, testing, and reporting on the status of assigned of the C4ISR systems leveraging IT engineering concepts of design, development, and maintenance of electronic equipment.
You will exercise critical thinking and independent judgment dealing with urgency factors, changing priorities, and constraints in successful execution of Test events.
You will promote inter/intra-team information exchanges, problem identification and propose/implement solutions.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
Qualifications
I have one year of information technology related experience in the federal service or private or public sector demonstrating the following four competencies, as defined:
1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Provide technical support to customers who need advice, assistance, and training in applying hardware and software systems.
2. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Provide expert technical and programmatic advice, guidance, and recommendations to management and stakeholders on critical IT issues.
3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Apply oral and written communication skills to interface effectively with personnel at all levels and has proven ability to support
briefings or presentations to mid- to high-level stakeholders.
4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Lead and complete multidimensional, complex tasks with multiple dependencies independently, mentor others regularly ensuring appropriate succession, and lead others to accomplish complex, cross-organizational goals.
In addition to my experience demonstrating the four competencies above, I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level a GS-12 or pay band NO-04 in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector in Applying established processes to coordinate activities to quickly resolve complex testing of interoperability issues associated with Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) systems.
