Duties
You will perform or advise on work in any of the phases or systems involved with budget administration.
You will participate in the formulation of budget and estimates to support plans, programs, and activities, including presenting and defending budget estimates before authorities.
You will review and evaluate budget requests and facilitate control and reporting of obligations and expenditures.
You will analyze and recommend costs and benefits of alternative methods of financial management of organization's programs and administrative operations.
You will implement legal and regulatory controls over approved budgets.
You will oversee implementation of internal controls and provide advice on effective and efficient methods for the acquisition and use of funds to support organization programs and activities.
Requirements

- This is a Financial Management Level 2 certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Demonstrated experience analyzing data specifically related to payroll AND experience formulating budget estimates fin advisement for leadership decision making.
