The selectee of this position serves as a Supervisory Financial Management Analyst. You will be responsible for managing the financial management program, to include development and oversight of management and financial controls, budget formulation, presentation, execution, and accounting functions.
This may be a Detail or a Temporary Promotion that can be terminated at any time. It may also be made permanent without further competition.
Duties
As a Supervisory Financial Management Analyst at the GS-0501-14 level, some of your typical work assignments may include:
Exercises full supervisory responsibility over subordinate positions
Plans, directs, and coordinates the Program budgetary functions to include the development of policies and guidelines governing the formulation, preparation, and presentation of the budget
Performs a full range of analytical work associated with financial management
Provides advice, guidance, and assistance personally, and through subordinates, to management officials, Case Managers, Criminal Investigators, and administrative support personnel

Qualifications
GS-14 TIME IN GRADE REQUIREMENTS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-13 grade level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-14 grade level. (Must submit your SF-50 that shows Time-in-Grade eligibility and reflects your title, series, and grade. No award SF-50 will be accepted).
You may qualify at the GS-0501-14 level, if you fulfill the following qualifications:
Have at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 level of the Federal Service performing duties related to the following: 1.) Providing guidance to employees and management regarding all aspects of financial management and budgetary policies; 2.) Planning and organizing work assignments to include determining proper resources required to accomplish the mission; 3) Analyze financial management programs to verify accuracy and compliance with policies and procedures.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
