About the Position: This position is located at the U.S. Army National Guard Readiness Center, ARNG Chief of Staff, Facility Services, in Arlington, Virginia.
About the Surrounding Area: Situated in Northern Virginia on the south bank of the Potomac River directly across from Washington D.C. Arlington is headquarters to many departments and agencies of the federal government, including the Department of Defense and is the location of many national memorials and museums.
Duties
Responsible for reviewing, evaluating, advising on, and processing facilities management plans and actions as submitted by subordinate elements.
Provide advice on all matters pertaining to the facilities and infrastructure in areas such as facilities planning and program development, capital repair, restoration, improvement planning, contract administration, budgetary resource requirements.
Provide technical direction regarding the application and implementation of policy changes.
Exercise supervision over the daily activities of a full-time staff that includes military, civilian, and contractor employees.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes providing complex support products to a tenant organization; providing technical and administrative supervision to subordinates consisting of civilian, military, and contractors; managing the operating conditions of a facilities infrastructure; interfacing across agencies regarding policies, services, and/or approaches toward project accomplishment; performing substantial coordination and integration of a number of major work assignments and/or projects; developing budgets and/or recommending resources to devote to particular projects.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).
