You will serve as a PROGRAM ANALYST in the PROPULSION AND POWER ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.
Duties
You will serve as an Analyst responsible for analyzing data associated with aircraft wiring, electrical wiring interconnect system (EWIS) performance, installation, and testing statistics of aircraft wiring systems.
You will advise management on an array of subject matters including but not limited to management principles and processes, program development or execution by improving organizational effectiveness and efficiency.
You will provide technical support including analyzing EWIS requirements, evaluating the results of electrical wiring assessments, support for In-Service Engineering investigations, technology development, design analyses, installation and tests.
You will adapt analytical techniques and evaluation criteria for the purpose of improving the effectiveness of efforts for the assigned wiring system programs focusing on Fleet support and issue resolution efforts.
You will evaluate statistics and identify project improvement initiatives designed to improve quality, workmanship, material, and other items that may impact overall wiring and equipment installation safety, reliability, and integrity.
You will prepare reports of schedule status and provide detailed recommendations to mitigate or preclude schedule delays and or negative impact on wiring and equipment installation.
You will perform technical analysis to determine that an aircraft system and its component parts meet minimum design criteria and standards.
You will conduct cost-benefit analyses and use analytical skills to evaluate specific EWIS programs, or review budget requests to ensure compliance.
You will lead, plan, organize, conduct, and report the results of complex aircraft electrical wiring and equipment installation statistics and support functions within the scope of the Wiring Systems Branch Standard Operating Procedures.
You will develop solutions to fleet issues ranging from: new materials, components, processes, new training materials, policies, tools, and support equipment from fleet requests.
Requirements

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Demonstrated experience gained by education or experience of personnel, facilities, projects, and other resources;
Detailed knowledge of the DOD/Navy/NAVAIR Team policies, processes and procedures (to ensure effective planning, development and execution of programs);
Detailed knowledge of the Navy/NAVAIR Systems Team and contractor organizational structures, functional responsibilities and interrelationships;
Detailed knowledge of the Naval Air Systems Team project management/coordination policies, processes, procedures and responsibilities;
Expert knowledge of RDTE Networks and defense systems acquisition processes;
high level of skill in leadership and engineering project management to elicit, direct, and integrate the supporting efforts of diverse teams of government employees, support contractors, and vendors.
Detailed knowledge of aircraft Electrical Wiring and Interconnecting Systems (EWIS).
