About the Position: This position will serve as a Human Resources Assistant (Military/OA) located with the 30th Air Defense Artillery, Fires Center of Excellence locate at Fort Sill, Oklahoma. The incumbent of this position will implement and monitor human resource management operations for the Brigade.

Duties

Duties require the skill of a qualified typist (40-wpm minimum). Use Army Human Resource (HR) Tools: Integrated Personnel and Pay System (IPPS-A), Medical Protection System (MEPROS) Defense Civilian Personnel Data System (DCPDS) Portal, CHRA AutoNOA, and Automated Time Attendance and Production System (ATAAPS). Serve as the 30th ADA BDE Primary Internal Control Management Program Administrator. Responsible for accurately generating and submitting the Net Unit Status Report (NetUSR) into Department of Defense Readiness Reporting System-Army (DRRS-A) for the Brigade. Advise Brigade, Battalion, and Battery personnel leadership on procedures, regulations, and policies on military personnel actions. Provide guidance to civilian personnel on a variety of internal and external administrative reports and requirements. Monitor programs relating to the civilian workforce, to include awards, position reviews and fills. Administrative Reporting for personnel actions involving the DA civilian workforce. Prepare, consolidate, and maintain time and attendance data for the 30TH ADA BDE civilians. Establish and maintain office files in accordance with established functional file system.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
  • Duties require the skill of a qualified typist (40wpm minimum).
  • This position requires time away from home station (TDY) at 10%.

OR Education: Four years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.) OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of education beyond two years (total semester hours minus 60) by 60. Add the two percentages. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.) Specialized experience for the GS-06 level: One year of specialized experience which includes the following: Interpret and use military and civilian personnel policies, precedents, regulations and procedures; Utilize automated military and civilian human resources systems to process a variety of military and civilian actions; and Review military and civilian personnel records for accuracy. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05). OR Education: A half year (i.e., 9 semester hours) of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Human Resources. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.) OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 9. Add the two percentages. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.) Specialized experience for the GS-07 level: One year of specialized experience which includes the following: Apply an extensive body of military and civilian personnel rules, procedures and operations; Process all military and civilian personnel actions (i.e., assignments, promotions, personnel utilization, transfers, awards and military and civilian evaluations) using an automated human resources system; and Advise senior leadership on military and civilian human resources issues in accordance with policies and regulations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). OR Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Human Resources. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.) OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18.
