This position is part of the Interior Business Center (IBC), Human Resources Directorate (HRD), IBC HR Directorate Fin Mgmt Bus Ops Office. The incumbent will be responsible for leading teams in support of program and project area to accomplish program goals and objectives that affect the Directorate. This position is eligible for a remote work arrangement. More information regarding IBC's remote work terms is available here.

Duties

Perform team leader responsibilities to assign, coach, guide and evaluate the work of team members and advise management Coordinate, monitor and development of business operational work processes Provide reports and trend analysis for organization on hiring, remote work and business operational status based on the leadership team initiatives Analyze and interpret complex statutory, regulatory and policy guidance for business, financial and/or administrative programs to coordinate, consult and explain technical information on business and administrative operations Standardize business processes and provide guidance for the organization, aimed at improving operational efficiencies

Qualifications

At the GS-14 level, you must meet the following qualification: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 level. Specialized experience is that which has equipped the applicant with the competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. Specialized experience for this position includes but is not limited to: leading, coaching and/or organizing the work of team members on a day-to-day basis; leading and overseeing business operation activities, such as manpower and staffing planning, hiring process, HR Liaison work, recruitment and retention strategies, managing laptop refresh or other property management and data call management; and extensive experience with the development of business operations standard operating procedures and process work-flow management. Only experience obtained by the closing date of this announcement will be considered. TIME-IN-GRADE: Current career or career-conditional employees of the Federal government, or former career or career-conditional employees, who have a break in service of less than one year, are required to meet the time-in-grade restriction of one year of Federal experience at the next lower grade, with few exceptions outlined in 5 CFR 300.603(b). Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
