Duties

Manage, direct, coordinate, and oversee the work of subordinate staff. Provide leadership, direction, and policy guidance to all aspects of management. Evaluate management and administrative information and concepts affecting the overall mission of the Institute. Plan, develop, formulate, and administer policies and procedures governing the activities of the Institute’s administrative and management programs. Advise the Institute Director on the impact and implications of administrative issues on major program and policy formulation. Monitor the budget process to ensure timely and efficient expenditure of funds and anticipate changes in funding levels.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship requirement or proof of being a U.S. National must be met by closing date.

Qualifications

You qualify at the GS-15 level, if you meet one of the following qualification requirements: You must demonstrate in your resume at least one (1) year of qualifying specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-14 level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector, performing the following types of tasks: developing administrative and business management goals, objectives, and plans; representing an organization on committees and work groups related to program planning and evaluation or resources management processes; advising management on workforce planning, training, or program evaluation issues; evaluating work assignments of subordinate staff; advising management officials on budgetary/fiscal policy that affects program operations; and ensuring that the financial management of grants and contracts are consistent with organizational priorities.
