About the Position: This position is with the Medical Department Activity Mobility, Education, Training and Security Division at Raymond W. Bliss Army Healthcare Center, Fort Huachuca, AZ. Fort Huachuca is located 75 miles southeast of Tucson, Arizona. We are nestled at the foot of the Huachuca Mountains and enjoy the benefit of some of the best climate in the United States.
Duties
Responsible for plans, training, operations, and supervision of the various missions and operational sections of a treatment facility.
Provides guidance to staff offices in response to urgent and routine requests for information and recommendations on issues of plans, operations, training, and security, current events strategy and plans, command and control, and training issues.
Ensures that agency projects are managed properly and completed in a timely manner while monitoring continuity and quality of actions.
Provides current policy and procedural guidance to representative staff areas of responsibility.
Oversees the training needs of all assigned personnel military, and civilians, assigned to the military treatment facility.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
- May require frequent overtime at unusual times (nights, holidays, and weekends).
- Temporary Duty Travel (TDY) required up to 5% of the time.
- This position has been identified as being Mission Essential.
- This position has been identified as being a Key Position under the provisions of AR 690-11, Use and Management of Civilian Personnel in Support of Military Contingency Operations.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes planning and ensuring compliance with the organization's operational and emergency services requirements; providing mission analysis, and performing a wide range of operations officer tasks in planning, directing, and evaluating of a medical treatment.This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
