You will serve as a SUPERVISORY FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT DIVISION of HDQTRS NDW.
Duties
You will supervise/mentor employees ensuring they are trained, and positions are staffed appropriately.
You will direct and prioritize work assignments.
You will plan and conduct complex financial management analysis.
You will provide extensive analytical support to the customers in developing recommendations and making decisions on a variety of management and resource issues.
You will act as a technical expert and assists other lower graded employees in problem solving, work efficiencies, and proper balancing of work within assigned team or teams.
You will provide timely responses to customer inquiries inside, as well as outside the agency.
You will provide technical guidance regarding the recording and control of travel, government purchase card (GPC), and property.
You will provide and implement solutions to correct internal control and reporting weaknesses.
You will identify problems and discrepancies, determine if adjustments or corrections are required, and take necessary action to correct and produce reports.
Requirements

- Generally, current federal employees applying for GS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level. This requirement is called time-in-grade. Time-in-grade requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.
- Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance while employed in the subject position. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
- This is a Financial Management Level III certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
- The incumbent may be required to work overtime, shift, weekends, holiday, or rotating shifts occasionally.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) Performing work consisting of a systematic examination an appraisal of financial records, financial and management reports, management controls, programs, policies, and practices; 2) Ensuring organizational financial practices are in compliance with rules and regulations; 3) Formulating budget estimates to support organizational plans, programs, and activities.
