About the Position: This position serves as a Strategic Operations Analyst within the Fielded Force Integration Directorate (FFID), Fort Leavenworth, KS.
Eligible for situational telework ONLY, including emergency and OPM prescribed "unscheduled telework".
Duties
As a Strategic Operations Analyst, you will perform duties to include but not limited to the following:
Apply qualitative and quantitative analytical techniques to resolve issues within functional programs.
Document planning and programming decisions in appropriate formats to meet requirements.
Verify the relevancy, adequacy, sustainability, attainability, accuracy, and completeness of information and recommendations related to assigned tasks.
Analyzes, develops, and evaluates issues and develops recommendations to resolve substantive problems and issues of effectiveness and efficiency of work operations in major variety of DOTMLPF functional programs.
Participates in the development and makes recommendations for modifications to systems and programs around doctrine, tactics, and concepts of operations.
Participates in strategic planning to improve organizational direction and focus using strategic planning tools and techniques.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of up to 10% of the time.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Prepare and provide briefings on program operations to
senior leaders, 2) Design and conduct comprehensive studies, AND 3) Develop solutions to support command operational and contingency areas. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
