About the Position: Serves as a Strategic Operations Analyst planning, organizing, and reporting on projects, studies, and initiatives related to CAC's Field Force Integration or Modernization Proponent functional areas.
NOTE: This is an obligated position.
Duties
As a Strategic Operations Analyst, you will perform the following duties which is not an all-inclusive list:
Responsible for integrating, consolidating, and reporting Doctrine, Organization, Training, Material, Leadership and Education, Personnel, Facilities and Policy (DOTMLPF-P) issues.
Uses the military decision making process and conducts mission analysis to make informed decisions and/or recommendations on studies, projects, and/or initiatives.
Writes and/or updates applicable regulatory documents involving the designated Force Modernization Proponency.
Develops written analysis, information papers, and decision papers for presentation to the Director FFID and CAC Command Group.
Develops, plans, integrates, and executes policies and procedures to guide, direct, and manage the Army's requirements within DOTMLPF-P and across the war fighting functions.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- Business Travel/TDY required up to 25%

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience.
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service which includes: 1) utilizing the military decision making process (MDMP) to conduct mission analysis on studies or projects related to training development, training support, leader development, education, doctrine, and/or lessons learned; 2) integrating Doctrine, Organization, Training, Material, Leadership and Education, Personnel, Facilities and Policy (DOTMLPF-P) requirements; 3) conducting qualitative research and summarizing results; and 4) communicating both orally and in writing to negotiate complex issues and devise recommended solutions for presentation to high-level officials.
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
