Duties
Serve in the Commanders Initiative Group (CIG) for the Commanding General (CG), U.S. Army Pacific Command (USARPAC) and is assigned to the Office of the Commanding General (OCG).
Strategic Advisor to the CG on command and Army systems, Army processes, innovations and concepts.
Act as the CG’s authoritative source for Army Senior Leader (ASL) engagements and correspondence, ASL visits, and works across the staff to ensure synchronization of messaging.
Lead executive communications and congressional relation efforts for the CG.
Lead strategic planning efforts, conducts research, to develop the future accessions business process.
Pioneer innovative recruiting, accessions, and marketing concepts for the recruitment, education, training and accession of future Army Officers.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position has a temporary duty (TDY) travel requirement up to 10% of the time.
- This position requires a Top-Secret clearance level.
- This position is a designated drug testing position. The incumbent must comply with Drug Abuse Testing Program requirements in accordance with Army Regulation (AR) 600-85.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience.
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience 1) providing consultation, advice and information on recruiting and accessions, 2) developing plans for the implementation and administration of recruiting and accession programs, and 3) interacting in a professional manner as a liaison with internal/external organizational contacts. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
