You will serve as a SUPERVISORY LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the NAVAL SYSTEMS MANAGEMENT ACTIVITY.
This position is in the excepted service and does not confer competitive status.
Duties
You will plan, supervise, organize, and coordinate all matters relating to the acquisition and sustainment of logistics activities/functions.
You will actively participate in the customer support team or program office team efforts to provide needed functional and cross-functional program support as required to meet customer needs.
You will exercise a full range of supervisory responsibilities.
You will manage comprehensive product support programs for the acquisition and or life cycle sustainment management of integrated product support functions as the senior logistics authority.
You will provide logistics support and technical expertise to resolve high priority life cycle logistics problems.
You will serve on senior management advisory committees and assist with formulation and execution of goals, plans, and budget for the project or system.

- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-14) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience includes duties related to the following:
Planning, supervising, organizing, and coordinating all matters relating to the acquisition and sustainment logistics activities/functions for assigned programs, including the total logistics life-cycle support of assigned programs;
Evaluating the effectiveness of customer support group's logistics program support;
Developing strategies to ensure logistics program problems are addressed and solutions are implemented.
Performing as a recognized Logistics acquisition, sustainment, and fleet implementation expert.
