This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security, United States Coast Guard, Coast Guard District Eleven, Health, Safety & Work-Life Directorate, Coast Guard Health, Safety & Work-Life Service Center in Norfolk, VA.
Duties
As the Service Line Manager, the incumbent develops, coordinates, and implements programs and practices to promote and achieve objectives, goals, and strategies for the $350M Coast Guard (CG) Subsistence Enterprise. He/she works in concert with the CG-1111 Subsistence Program Manager for the execution of the program, and acts as the single point of contact and accountability to units for subsistence issues.

Qualifications
GS-14: To qualify for the GS-14, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lowest grade level (GS-13) in the federal sector. Examples of specialized experience include: supervising a wide variety of employees; executing all current and prior year funds entrusted to the Subsistence Service Line; overseeing maintenance of all official financial records and supporting documents relating to applicable resource issues within the Subsistence Service Line; coordinating and directing implementation of all aspects of Subsistence Program operations; recommending and/or putting into action organization or process changes; participating in the Subsistence Program strategic business plan process; creating project timelines and deadlines; determining the need for written procedures; translating program requirements and policy into detailed program plans and procedures; ensuring appropriate quality assurance and assessment visits are performed within the Food Service enterprise, and that results are analyzed.Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.National Service Experience (i.e., volunteer experience): Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
