You will serve as a Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist in the Transportation and Distribution Department of NAVSUP WEAPON SYSTEMS SUPPORT.
Duties
You will serve as the Program Manager for Navy’s global Air Clearance Authority (ACA) supporting Navy, Marine aviation and Coast Guard funded shipments and other assigned Services’ funded shipments as required.
You will be fully versed in transportation policies and procedures and skills necessary to support integrated logistics operations to include: Disaster
Response, Crisis Action, Transportation Operations and Supply Chain Transportation Optimization.
You will have knowledge of DoD Financial and Air Clearance Transportation System (FACTS), Cargo Routing Information File, Navy Air Clearance Authority, FACTS Vendor Shipment System to move outsized special cargo.
You will be responsible for developing and maintaining ACA cost avoidance performance metrics and providing “No-Hit” documentation to shippers not offering cargo for air shipment to ACA.
You will provide mobile units with daily scheduled cargo status reports as required with the use of IDE/IGC/GTA tool.
You will serve as a Program and Functional Manager for the FACTS Shipment Processing (FACTS-Vendor) automated tool that provides efficient movement of Naval/DoD supplies and material to shipping activities located worldwide.
You will develop recommendations and assist in implementing functional logistics requirements, tools and policy/procedures relating to transportation.
Requirements

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-13) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following duties: 1) Managing and executing day to day transportation products and services and ensuring transportation operations are properly resourced and staffed to meet requirements; 2) Developing and implementing policies and procedures related to transportation and distribution operations; 3) Chairing and participating in transportation management review boards and assisting inspection teams in support of duties; and 4) Assigning work, establishing priorities, setting completion dates and schedules and evaluating work by others.
