This position is located at Department of Homeland Security, US Coast Guard, Shore Infrastructure Logistics Center, Waterways Operations Product Line (WOPL), Norfolk, VA.

Duties

The position requires responsibility for managing the personnel and administrative operation of the WOPL ensuring compliance with all Coast Guard and federal policies, rules, and regulations. As such, the DPLM’s opinion or direction is treated as if given by a Commander/O-5, Product Line Manager (PLM) for the SILC, WOPL. 

Requirements

  • Males born after 12/31/1959 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • The position requires a valid state driver's license.
  • This position require drug testing.

Qualifications

Applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level.  Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. Example of specialized experience include:  developing/maintaining of Logistics aspects and operational plans, assuring that commitments are fulfilled, managing the resolution of support deficiencies, analyzing support effectiveness, resolving logistics support problems and ensuring the logistics policies are in compliance; managing operational logistics programs; carrying out and communicating support for Equal Employment Opportunity policies, goals, objectives, and programs. National Service Experience (i.e., volunteer experience): Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. The Office of Personnel management (OPM) must authorize employment offers made to current or former political appointees. If you are currently, or have been within the last 5 years, a political Schedule A, Schedule, C, Non-career SES or Presidential Appointee employee in the Executive Branch, you must disclose this information to the Human Resources Office.
