About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the ST-IC-W6EC01 US ARMY ACQUISITION SUPPORT CENTER.
Duties
Senior member and technical expert in the fielding, event planning, operation, maintenance, and logistic support of full-scale, functional hardware/software threat simulators and foreign threat systems supporting Test and Evaluation and Training.
Develop operational solutions to provide support to test and training events.
Communicate, establish, and manage relations with major government agencies and industrial contractors involved in production and use of intelligence and threat simulators/systems.
Prepare Information Briefs for stakeholder and leadership to make decisions to support test and training events.
Make recommendations to stakeholder to improve test and training support.
Prepare cost estimates and define equipment requirements for the support of test and training events.
Analyze test and training requirements against current threat operational fleet products to provide the correct mix of threat platforms for events.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
- In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) based on a Tier 5 (or equivalent) investigation.
