The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a first level supervisor, providing planning, directing, organizing, and exercising control over subordinate employees assigned to the Installations Support Branch, Asset Management Division, Air Logistics, Engineer, and Force Protection Directorate, Air National Guard Readiness Center (ANGRC).
Duties
Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of the Installation Support Branch, ensuring that work complies with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs.
Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities.
Represents branch with a variety of AF, ANG, and interested organizations.
Balances the interest of a variety of clients, both internal and external to the organization, the AF, ANG, DoD, and outside agencies to achieve mission goals and objectives.

Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-12, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes expert knowledge in providing direction and program management for critical ANG professional and/or administrative programs having ANG/AF/DoD wide scope and impact, knowledge of asset management principles, practices, techniques, and procedures to effectively supervise planning & integration of installation support including real property budgeting, facility management, Joint Use Agreements, contract management, and data automation. geospatial project development and execution, training, and advisory services.
FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-12 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-13 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks. NOTE: Applicants applying as VEOA candidates who are current GS civil service employees or are prior GS civil service employees within the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of asset management principles, practices, techniques, and procedures to effectively supervise planning & integration of installation support including real property budgeting, facility management, Joint Use Agreements, contract management, and data automation. geospatial project development and execution, training, and advisory services.
2. Knowledge of planning, programming, and budgeting cycles; financial systems and restrictions on expenditure of funds; and standard contracting regulations, practices, and procedures.
3. Knowledge of safety and security regulations, practices, and procedures.
4. Skill in evaluating and coordinating work and reviewing technical reports.
5. Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions of an organization.
6. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
