You will serve as the Expeditionary Systems Lab (ESL) Development Lead within the Expeditionary Cybersecurity and Production Branch (E35) at the NAVSURFWARFCTR PANAMA CITY DIVISION.
This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-05 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to the GS-13 and GS-14. This is not a high grade position; therefore, the salary may be limited to a GS-13 Step 10 (currently $134,435).
Duties
You will perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and software installations using advanced knowledge of LCAC Information Technology (IT) components.
You will serve as the technical liaison between the Ship-to-Shore Connector (SSC) Software Support Activity (SSA) team and external entities, to include fleet and on-site representative (OSR) support.
You will support the ESL Research, Development. Test, and Evaluation environment which encompasses networked and standalone systems, varying operating systems (Red Hat, Windows, VMWare), Jira based DecSecOps, and network components.
You will develop innovative concepts and procedures for the maintenance and operation of LCAC C4N IT systems and subsystems for continuous process improvement.
You will ensure rigorous application of cybersecurity policies, principles, and practices in the delivery of all IT services.
You will conduct reviews and develop improved work methods, technical procedures and operational procedures.
You will make recommendations for acceptance of changes to procedures.
You will review drawings, technical manuals, and test procedures for accuracy and effectiveness and coordinate corrections with the Fleet Support lead.

- This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area 451 level Intermediate within 12 months of appointment.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower pay band NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector evaluating information systems software and hardware to meet system requirements and develop plans to ensure operability, reliability and security across the enterprise environment. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
