You will serve as a SUPERVISORY TRAINING SPECIALIST in the EXPEDITIONARY TRAINING DEPARTMENT of NAVY EXPEDITIONARY WARFIGHTING DEV CTR.
Duties
You will serve as the Deputy Director of Training providing oversight for Expeditionary Warfare (EXW) and Force Protection (FP) advanced tactics training operations and learning solutions development.
You will oversee the design, development, maintenance, evaluation and improvement of the Navy Expeditionary Warfighting Development Center (NEXWDC) training programs and courses.
You will direct and lead updates to training curriculum to provide maximum mission effectiveness and readiness.
You will maintain all courses assigned to and review all products to formal promulgation by the Commanding Officer.
You will coordinate with the Center for Explosive Ordnance Disposal and Diving (CENEODDIVE), Center for Seabees and Facilities Engineering (CSFE), and Center for Security Forces (CENSECFOR) to ensure alignment, consistency and continuity in training.
You will Exercises full range of supervisory and personnel management responsibilities to include evaluating employee performance, authorizing leave, interviewing candidates for positions.
You will identify and provide for training needs of subordinate employees.
You will conduct hearing and resolve complaints, and recommend personnel actions, such as selections, reassignments, disciplinary actions, and promotions.
You will provide technical oversight and coordination of a 7-person contract team in delivery of contracted services to include design, development and execution of training program and curriculum development.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a U.S. Passport.
- May be required on occasion to change the work schedule to accommodate training events.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience applying knowledge of Navy training administration policies, procedures, principles and techniques.
Experience applying knowledge of Fleet requirements analysis procedures; and interface with Fleet training organizations that impact Navy Expeditionary Warfighting Development Center (NEXWDC) mission.
Experience applying knowledge of Fleet Training Continuum, Fleet Synthetic training, Fleet Response Plan, and Navy Warfare Training System as it applies to expeditionary and force protection warfare training plan development.
Experience in application of learning instructional theories and principles.
Expert applying knowledge of project management principles and practices.
Experience assessing and developing curriculum, instructor training, and course delivery.
