Duties
This position is located in the Office of Field Operations, Washington Field Division, in Norfolk, Va.
This position serves as an operations support specialist to a manager of any field operations field division office or field office in the Office of Field Operations (FO), Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF). Provides a variety of administrative and office support services essential to the function and operation of the field office to ensure smooth and efficient operation of the office.

Qualifications
Specialized experience is demonstrated experience, which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of this position. Experience must be in the normal line of progression or must be related to the work of the position advertised and must be reflected in resume.
To qualify for GS-07, candidates must also have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-05.
GS-07 - You qualify if you possess one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-05 grade level in the Federal, State, or Local government or equivalent public or private sector experience, performing the following duties:
Specialized Experience: Making and coordinating travel arrangements, processing time and attendance, composing standard letters and recurring reports.
OR
In lieu of specialized experience you may qualify for this position at the GS-07 with the following education and/or experience: 1 full year of graduate level education or superior academic achievement
OR
A combination of education and experience. This will be calculated using your résumé and unofficial transcripts or a list of courses/course hours submitted with your application.
To qualify for GS-09, candidates must also have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-07.
GS-09 - You qualify if you possess one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal, State, or Local government or equivalent public or private sector experience, performing the following duties:
Specialized Experience: Manage calendars for management, composing correspondence and recurring reports, and coordinate travel arrangements.
OR
Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related
OR
A combination of graduate education and experience. This will be calculated using your résumé and unofficial transcripts or a list of courses/course hours submitted with your application.
