You will serve as a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the Systems Acquisition Group, Logistics Integration Department of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV. This position is the Assistant Program Manager, Logistics for PMA-257 Harrier Weapon System.

Duties

You will formulate the support and maintenance concepts and maintainability requirements for assigned weapon system. You will exercise resource responsibility/authority over support budgets to include planning, tracking and executing sustainment funds. You will direct analyses by appropriate activities and implement corrective actions with an emphasis on improving fleet aircraft readiness. You will manage and direct the efforts of all logistics personnel providing life cycle product support management to the weapon system. You will plan and chair logistics and maintenance conferences, as required, throughout the sustainment and support phases to ensure a continuous, effective, and balanced logistics support program.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12/13 grade level or pay band DS-05 in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Demonstrating working knowledge of acquisition life cycle management including the development of Business Case Analyses (BCAs), Performance Base Logistics (PBLs), Life Cycle Sustainment Plans (LCSPs), Logistics Requirements, Funding Summaries (LRFS), and Life Cycle Cost Estimates (LCCEs); 2) Preparing and presenting convincing oral and written presentations to any or all levels of government and industry management to effectively prove and justify significant deviations from established logistics policy; 3) Interfacing with multiple stakeholders such as DOD, OPNAV, the Fleet, and other NAVAIR Echelons and Contractors; 4) Leading a diverse team of logisticians through various milestone stages including Design interface, Development, and Operations and Sustainment; and Demilitarization and 5) Developing, maintaining, and executing sustainment budgets.
