You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the Unmanned Maritime Systems Program Office (PMS 406) of PEO UNMANNED AND SMALL COMBATANTS. You will serve as principal advisor to leadership on the development, implementation and revision of financial management policies, plans and programs to facilitate the effective, efficient, and timely application of financial resources to achieve the mission of organization.
Duties
You will generate, recommend and implement new and revised financial management concepts, methodologies, policies, and strategies in support of the organization's programs.
You will direct and perform continuing program execution review, analysis, and appraisal of the major operating and support programs.
You will prepare briefs for senior managers on program financial status and provide recommendations to correct program variances or problem areas.
You will coordinate budget development and respond to data calls from PEO, Comptroller, and Resource Sponsor for cost/performance information in support of mission tasks for the organization.
You will evaluate financial issues of consequence raised in audit reports, budget reviews, and other forums and recommend corrective actions.

- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the pay band NH-03 (GS-13 Equivalent), in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: performing financial management analysis functions (e.g. budget planning, monitoring obligations and expenditures) to ensure proper allocation and execution of funds for the organization.
