You will serve as a Supervisory Administrative Specialist (Logistics) for the Small Business Administration (SBA), Office of Capital Access (OCA), Disaster Administrative Services Division (DASD), Administrative Services Center (ASC) in Herndon, VA. This position provides management of all logistics functions to include, accountable property, mail and supply, inventory etc.

Duties

As a Supervisory Administrative Specialist (Logistics) at the GS-0301-13, some of your typical work assignments may include: Supervises employees in accountable property, supply/records management, mail management, transportation management, telecommunications management, facilities, building security, Personal Identity Verification (PIV) cards, and other logistics related needs before and during large disaster operations, training sessions, and other large-scale or sensitive operations. Reviews routine and/or unusual requests for shipping and receiving of equipment & electronic devices, tracking and ensuring appropriate supply levels are maintained, recording all incoming and outgoing government property, tracking usage of government assigned vehicle, ensuring accuracy and adherence to SBA policies and procedures. Uses mobile and desktop productivity applications such as web browsers, email, spreadsheets, and word processing. Generates and runs reports, imports and exports data and identifies and troubleshoots errors in data or report. Manages data across multiple systems and databases and transfers data between systems as required. Interacts daily with center management and employees in the performance of duties. Maintains a professional demeanor during all conversations while working to resolve customer issues. Communicates clearly, concisely, and courteously through written communications such as email, memos, and reports. Monitors functions with the goal of improving efficiency, lessening paperwork, and improving customer service. Compiles reports, identifies organizational, procedural and productions issues; notifies immediate supervisor of discrepancies; conducts cost benefit analyses; and prepares recommendations for improvement. Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • You must be able to obtain and maintain a Government travel credit card.
  • Favorable background investigation and credit check are required.
  • You must meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date, if applicable.
  • A one-year supervisory probationary period may be required.
  • You may be required to complete a one-year probationary period for non-supervisors if you fail to complete the one-year supervisory probationary period.
  • This position is not included in a bargaining unit.

Qualifications

Experience: To receive credit, you must indicate the month and year as well as the average hours worked per week for each employer. Average work hours must be stated on the resume to quantify each period of work experience or that experience will not be credited toward meeting the specialized experience requirement. You must address the specific specialized experience required for each grade level of this position on your resume or application or you will be rated "Ineligible" for that grade level. GS-13: One year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service, obtained in either the private or public sector: Identifying organizational, procedural and production issues and providing solid recommendations for improvement within an administrative department or organization; and Providing customer service to internal and/or external customers by assessing needs, providing information or assistance, and resolving problems; and Using software and automated systems, such as Asset Panda and ServiceNow, designed to accomplish and manage the work in an administrative services department in at least one of the following: procurement, accountable property, and/or budget; and Supervising or leading in an official capacity, administrative projects, or a team/staff of diverse employees in the day-to-day administrative and program support operations for an organization/office. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. TIME-IN-GRADE: If you are a current career or career-conditional federal employee applying for promotion under Merit Promotion you must have completed a minimum of 52 weeks in positions at the next level lower than the position being filled. All qualification requirements must be met by 11:59 pm (Eastern Time) on 09/05/2024.
