Duties
Provides administrative and technical support to the HQ IMCOM Child Services Suitability Coordinating Activity responsible for providing direct support to Garrisons in the initiation, submission, and tracking of child services background checks. Interprets law and regulation to provide input to the development of agency level guidance and/or technical materials for field use. Recommends regulation changes, including drafting appropriate language for publication. Conducts trend analysis, risk analysis, and root cause analysis to identify and address issues impacting child services background checks. Participate in various working groups to develop process maps, conduct process improvement initiatives, and develop courses of action to improve the timeliness and accuracy of child services background checks. Delivers results through formal presentations using a mix of verbal and written techniques to communicate needed data. Provides guidance and oversight to staff to ensure accurate and responsive information is collected to support sound suitability determination by the appropriate organization. Serves as Assistant Contracting Officer's Representative (ACOR), responsible for contractor oversight and compliance with contract terms.

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS MUST BE CLEARLY VERIFIABLE IN YOUR RESUME. GOVERNMENT POSITIONS MUST INCLUDE PAY PLAN, SERIES, GRADE, TO AND FROM DATES, AND GOVERNMENT AGENCY/DEPARTMENT. Must include at least one year of experience performing duties at a level which equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to perform successfully in the position.
1. Experience demonstrating extensive technical knowledge of child services suitability laws, regulations, and background check adjudication procedures.
2. Experience using a wide range of analytical techniques to identify trends, determine cause and effect, and provide solutions to systemic issues.
3. Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite required to track data and produce charts, graphs, reports, and formal presentations.
4. Experience using automated personnel security information systems and databases (i.e. Personnel Security Investigation Portal/PSIP, BIOS-SP finger-printing system, Electronic Questionnaires for Investigations Processing /eQIP, CVS, etc.).
5. Demonstrated experience in verbal communications gained through the delivery of briefings and technical training.
In addition to above highly qualified candidates will also possess knowledge of programs, missions, functions, and organizational relationships, and ability to develop guidance for evaluating effectiveness and compliance of child services background checks and suitability program. AND Experience in Department of Defense and Department of Army background check process for individuals in child services positions, to include processing and interpreting background check results.
