About the Position: Fort Leonard Wood is located in the beautiful South-Central Missouri Ozarks. The Fort covers more than 61,000 acres and is located in Pulaski County, bordering Waynesville/St. Robert and Interstate 44. St. Louis is a 2-hour drive east and Springfield is a 1-hour drive west of Fort Leonard Wood.
Duties
Serve as the chief tasking analyst within the Maneuver Support Center of Excellence (MSCoE) G-3 Current Operations.
Advise leadership and key managers in making the most effective decisions that support strategic planning.
Provide guidance expediting support from higher headquarters and outside agencies.
Develop a close working relationship with subordinate commands and other elements requiring support.
Provide input, guidance, interpretations, training and/or briefings on current and proposed policies for installation tasking program(s) to a wide variety of individuals, managers, and key officials.
Supervise the coordination of or prepare and publish operations and fragmentary orders to support or implement projects and directed missions.
Coordinate G-Staff review of orders prior to publication.
Requirements

- The duties of this position may require Temporary Duty Travel (TDY) approximately 20% of the duty time.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service which includes: ensuring monthly Cyclic, Sensitive Items, and Yearly inventories are conducted and completed by due date with 100 percent accountability; interpreting regulations, directives, and contingency plans that concern support requests and requirements; AND developing recommendations for improved operations or action processing based on historical data.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11). All applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade and specialized experience requirements within thirty (30) days after the closing date of the announcements.
