About the Position: This is a permanent position located at the Directorate of Plans, Training, Mobilization and Security at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri.

Duties

Supervises the garrison unit and individual training programs, individual training and evaluation programs, and Army training and evaluation programs. Serve as the Director of Plans, Training, Mobilization and Security (DPTMS) at a large multi-mission, multi-MACOM installation, responsible for execution of traditional DPTMS operations in support of garrison/tenant units. Synchronize installation mission training support and multi-mission operational functions for the Senior Mission Commander, directly supporting four MACOMs - TRADOC, FORSCOM, IMCOM and 1st US Army. Serve as program manager for policy and installation training support systems in support of military training activities in three proponent schools, three initial military training brigades and three sister service training detachments. Coordinate and execute all installation level ceremonies and events. Plan and coordinate re-stationing actions. Coordinate and execute the installation force modernization/integration program for all tenant units. Conduct and/or attend high-level meetings and serve on key garrison and mission committees and boards. Responsible for the installation security program (personnel security, intelligence and counterintelligence).

Requirements

  • This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one-year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.
  • This position has been designated as Key and shall not be vacated during a national emergency/mobilization. The incumbent must be exempted from recall to active duty.
  • This position has been designated "Mission Essential". In the event of severe weather conditions or emergency type situations the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.
  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • The incumbent is required to submit a Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450, Executive Branch Personnel Confidential Financial Disclosure Report upon entering the position and annually,
  • The incumbent of this position is required to possess and maintain a SECRET security clearance.
