You will serve as a SUPERVISORY MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the Technical Support Branch (Code 1102.7) in the Administrative Office (Code 1102), for the Executive Support Office (Code 1100), of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.
Duties
You will serve as a principal advisor on matters relating to medical surveillance and occupational health programs,
qualifications, GENESIS, and shipyard medical scheduling automation programing.
You will generate and maintain an internal database/spreadsheet of monthly medical appointments.
You will prioritize surveillance requests for emergent work and balances demand to available resources in order to meet the Shipyard’s needs.

- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
- Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience demonstrating basic knowledge of functions, principles and processes to be able to lead, supervise and manage employees.
Experience researching and applying analytical evaluating techniques to identify and communicate problems and resolutions to leadership concerning medical scheduling.
Experience applying basic administrative management techniques to advise management on scheduling conflicts and other related issues.
Experience demonstrating knowledge of time management, work prioritization, computer and various software operations, Health Insurance Portability and Accountability (HIPPA).
Experience providing effective oral and written communication.
