Duties
You will analyze and translate detailed technical or design specifications into integrated IT solutions that automate business processes, resolve noted deficiencies in operational applications, or address new operational requirements.
You will develop and maintains applications using a range of fourth and fifth-generation programming languages
You will develop new IT solutions using Cloud Services like but not limited to: Amazon Web Services-AWS, Microsoft AZURE, and Google Cloud.
You will monitor IT development contracts to ensure compliance with specifications in situations where the United States Marine Corps (USMC) makes use of proprietary products but does not maintain the source code for them.
You will perform and provides technical guidance and oversight for supporting project team members in designing, coding, testing, debugging, and maintaining IT solutions.
You will design physical data models that describe the structure for data storage, data indexing, data manipulation, and data retrieval applications.
You will ensure data structures meet business and cybersecurity requirements, are accessible to authorized users, and provide appropriate mechanism for maintaining data quality, data accuracy and ease of access.
You will participate in the design of data mining and data warehousing solutions.
You will define and validates the need for proposed new or revised IT solutions through consultation with functional managers and/or business organizations.
You will review preliminary analyses of business processes for which software tools are being developed/refined.
You will consult with analyst and/or customers to define and refine functional requirements and translates functional requirements into technical design specifications.

- This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area 621 level Advanced within 12 months of appointment.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- The employee may be recalled to duty.
- This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
- This position requires a State Criminal History Repository (SCHR) check to be completed on any person selected for this position. You must be willing and able to submit to a SCHR check.
Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Analyzing design, create IT solutions across multiple platforms, including but not limited to web applications, cloud based and application programming interfaces; experience in designing, developing, testing, implementation and sustaining IT solutions; Experience in developing anc maintaining application using a range of fourth and fifth generation programming languages to include JAVA, C,C#, Python, Shell scripting, Oracle, Apache, Swift, HTML, LINUX/UNIX, and PL/SQL; Experience with writing, testing, debugging and maintaining software application; Experience in using the latest technologies to design and implement analysis infrastructure and tools, analytic workflow processes, and complex data visualizations; Experience in consulting with customers to identify and specify requirements; Experience in recognizing and analyzing problems, conducting research, summarizing results, and making appropriate recommendations.
