Duties
You will develop and refine IT services and consult with program specialists in developing a standard common business vocabulary.
You will express strategic data requirements, outlines high level integrated designs to meet these requirements, and aligns with enterprise strategy and related business architecture.
You will monitor and ensure the operability of IT and cloud services that provide customers with access to applications and data.
You will organize data at the micro level and creates data models for new applications.
You will provide a logical data model as a standard for the golden source and for consuming applications to inherit.
You will provide technical guidance in designing, coding, testing, debugging, and maintaining programs.
You will establish troubleshooting procedures, and documents solutions to complex problems for reference by other specialists.
You will Evaluate, monitor, or ensure compliance with laws, regulations, policies, and standards.
You will plan and coordinate the migration of data to a newer version of a database management system.
Requirements

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Security + CE certification.
- This is a bargaining unit position
- You may be recalled to duty outside normal working hours.
- This position requires which requires a State Criminal History Repository (SCHR) check to be completed on any person selected for this position. I am willing and able to submit to a SCHR check.
Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: applying data management concepts and principles; applying system integration methods; performance tuning methods; test and evaluation methods and procedures and skill in IT project management and scrum methodologies.
1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Provides technical guidance in designing, coding, testing, debugging, and maintaining programs.
2. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Consults with customers to refine functional requirements and translates functional requirements into design specifications.
3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Brief information technology (IT) users on operation of application and support software systems.
4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Analyze operating systems malfunctions to implement corrective actions.
