You will serve as a SUPERVISORY IT SPECIALIST (PLCYPLN) in the Maine Corps Logistics Command of MARINE CORPS LOGISTICS COMMAND.
Duties
You will manage the strategic oversight, effective functioning, and all program responsibilities for assigned technical programs.
You will identify and resolve Information Technology (IT) policy issues that cross functional boundaries.
You will develop and manage budget in support of assigned programs.
You will assign work to subordinates based on priorities, the difficulty of the work to be performed, and capabilities of employees.
You will develop, refine, analyze, and issue policies applicable to the organization and its business support applications, automation, and innovative programs.
You will plan and establish work schedules, deadlines, and standards for acceptable work.
You will perform a wide range of technical input and oversight tasks.
You will compose correspondence and prepares study reports identifying decisions, recommendations, and policy actions initiated to accomplish component logistics support objectives.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

- This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: In directing a segment of a highly complex Information Technology program to include the life cycle management phases, program planning, requirements and economic analysis, funding, design, development, testing, integration, deployment, and maintenance of major automated systems.
Your resume must demonstrate one year of skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Conducting audits of IT programs and projects and establishing metrics and associated performance measurement tools.
2. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Assessing the impact of forecasted changes in technology and business requirements on the agency's long-range IT investment plans and recommending appropriate changes to plans and strategies.
3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Providing expert technical advice and guidance to senior management officials in the appropriate application of technology to agency mission and programs including providing advice regarding emerging IT issues and the impact of emerging issues on the agency business requirements.
4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Evaluating the effectiveness of the current IT policy framework and recommending changes that will ensure alignment with the agency's mission requirements.
