About the Position: This position is located with the US ARMY MANEUVER CENTER OF EXCELLENCE, at Fort Moore, GA This is an obligated position and therefore this position is announced TERM NTE 5 Years and may not be made permanent unless the permanent incumbent is placed elsewhere after the 5 year return rights limitation. Current permanent Federal employees applying for a Term appointment will be converted into a Term appointment with no statutory return rights back to a permanent position.

Duties

As a Sexual Assault Response Coordinator (SAR WF), you will perform the following duties which is not an all-inclusive list: Conduct prevention activities in an effort to reduce or eliminate sexual harassment and sexual assault. Conduct response activities in the event of a sexual harassment complaint or sexual assault. Plans, organizes staffs, carries out reviews and evaluates a positive management oriented SHARP program that includes efforts to resolve systemic problems. Establish information and interactive, engaging training to ensure understanding of the reporting procedures, confidentiality and other elements of the SHARP program. Develop and promotes program publicity materials in accordance with approved SHARP campaign messaging.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Requires successful completion of a 7 week Sharp training course and completion of all requirements to obtain DoD Certification within 6 months of hire.
  • Must obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license.
  • Temporary Duty Travel (TDY) required 25% of the time.
  • This position requires the employee to successfully complete a 7 week SHARP Training Course in accordance with SHARP program requirements within initial 6 months of employment.
  • DoD Sharp certification is required to be obtained within initial 6 months of employment.
  • This position may require the employee to be occasionally on-call.
  • This position involves duties that are sensitive and confidential in nature.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). -OR- Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M. in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or Human Services.(NOTE: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.) -OR- Combining Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages. (NOTE: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)
