About the Position: This position is in the Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton, Financial Management Analyst . Camp Pendleton is a large US Navy medical treatment facility in Oceanside, California, part of the United States' Military Health System. Located on Camp Pendleton in Camp Pendleton South, California in San Diego County.

Duties
Perform a variety of reviews and analyses of the Military Treatment Facility (MTF) financial data.
Utilize or accesses financial data from a variety of automated systems such as General Funds Enterprise Business System (GFEBS) and WAWF.
Certify invoices for payment of services.
Liaison between a customer and/or external agency to solve issues.
Provide advise to customers on financial management (FM) principles and regulations.
Receive and analyzes funding documents and account balances and prepares/consolidates special financial actions or reports.
Perform necessary follow-up with managers and/or performing activities to determine order completion status. Serves on special teams to improve the effectiveness of financial management processes.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
- This position has been designated "Mission Essential". In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.
- This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is subject to annual vaccination.
Qualifications

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes utilizing a personal computer and financial programs, (e.g. GEFEBS and WAWF) to develop funding documents, reports or publications and providing technical assistance to customers with financial inquires.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).
OR
Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Business or Financial.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
