About the Position: This position is located in the US Army Installation Management Command USAG Commander's Office on Redstone Arsenal, AL.
Duties
Performs a diverse range of duties involving the planning, organizing, coordinating and controlling of overall administrative operations for the Garrison Commander and Deputy to the Garrison Commander.
Schedules and coordinates all visits, meetings and itineraries using tact and diplomacy.
Serves as the focal point in the Garrison Commander’s and Deputy to the Garrison Commander’s office for the receipt and review of incoming tasks, projects, correspondence and other communications and materials.
Makes and coordinates all travel arrangements including scheduling, itinerary details, reservations, preparations of travel vouchers and pre and post trip reports.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Preparing speeches for use by the Director; 2) Makes recommendations for changes to existing policies, or directives., AND 3) Evaluates correspondence received from the staff to determine if it meets minimum standards for substantive content and administrative correctness. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).

Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as any field of study.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
