About the Position: Incumbent serves as Supervisory Course Director, Civilian Education Systems (CES) in Civilian Leader Development at the Army Management Staff College, Combined Arms Center and is recognized as an expert in leadership and management in the Department of the Army and directs one of four primary courses of the Department of the Army Civilian Education System (CES). NOTE: TRANSCRIPTS MUST BE SUBMTTED WITH YOUR APPLICATION PACKAGE.

Duties

Directs and participates in the design, development, revision, and delivery of the full range of courses in the progressive and sequential Civilian Education System. Maintains primary responsibility for execution in one or more courses within CES, ensuring all aspects of education design and delivery are planned and executed in accordance with the Army Learning Model (ALM). Ensure all aspects of education design and delivery are planned and executed in accordance with the adult learning models and exercises exceptional skill in developing a faculty well grounded in adult learning design and delivery methods. CES Ensure overall course design, development, and revision is coordinated and integrated both vertically and horizontally across the organization in support of CES educational outcomes. Maintains professional relationships with senior members of academia, public and private sector officials for purposes of maintaining professional currency and contributing to the continuing development of leader development doctrine and curriculum. Provides specific guidance and direction to subordinate committee chairs, group leaders and faculty to ensure coordination and exchange of information on all activities related to the mission of AMSC. Provide advice, counsel or instruction to subordinates on both work and administrative matters, and the overall direction and guidance to subordinates concerning work to be accomplished or completed.

Requirements

  • Temporary Duty (TDY), up to 30% of the time.
  • May be required to complete a one year Supervisory Probationary period if not previously completed.
  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance
