About the Position: Serves as a member of the Installation Arrival Departure Airfield Control Group (A/DACG), Deployment Operations, with the responsibility to support assigned units in the preparation, maintenance, and execution of air movement plans, unit movement data, and related documentation.

Duties

Operate and participate in all aspects of the Fort Cavazos Power Projection Platform at Robert Gray Army Airfield (RGAAF) to include the Marshaling Area; the Alert Holding Area; the Call Forward Area; and the Loading Ramp Area. Establish communication with units and coordinates airfield actions with other supporting elements Contingency Response Element (CRE), RGAAF base operations, Transportation Motor Pool (TMP), and customs/agriculture. Use automated systems Integrated Computerized Deployment System (ICODES), Global Decision Support System (GDSS), Transportation Coordinators Automated Information for Movements System II (TC-AIMSII), prepares air movement plans.

Requirements

• Incumbent must obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
• Employee must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
• Incumbent must successfully pass a pre-employment physical.
• Must be able to lift up to 75pounds (e. g. duffel bag).
• This position is covered by the 1996 Lautenberg Amendment to the Gun Control Act of 1968. Persons convicted of a misdemeanor or felony crime of domestic violence are not eligible for this position.
• Incumbent is required to obtain and maintain a valid state driver’s license and any installation and/or DoD license required for the type of vehicle being driven.
• Must take and successfully complete the DoD-80 hour in-classroom Hazardous Materials Certification Course every two years.
• Position is designated key: employee occupying this position may not vacate during war or national emergency without seriously impairing the mission; employee possesses unique or scarce managerial or technical skills required by the wartime mission.
• This position requires the incumbent to work irregular duty hours (evenings, nights, holidays and weekends). Works in support of other deployment operation missions as required: rail and unit movement planning and execution.
• When necessary, required to work in shifts to cover 24-hour operations.
