About the Position: This position is located with the U.S. Army Sustainment Command, 407th AFSB, AFSB-Log Readiness Center, Transportation Division, Personnel Services Branch, Personnel Movement, Fort Cavazos, Texas.
Duties
Determine eligibility, entitlements, and options available to personnel proceeding on government directed official travel.
Counsel applicants (individually or in groups) regarding their eligibility, authorized routes and/or special services, pets, excess baggage, carrier liability, and provide guidance on the travelers responsibilities.
Coordinate travel and discuss itinerary, routes, reporting times, connecting flights and ground transportation with travelers.
Verify travel invoices and supporting documentation for accruacy and completeness.
Perform full reconciliation functions of Government’s Centrally Billed Accounts (CBA).
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes reviewing travel orders to determine eligibility and entitlements available to personnel traveling to domestic or overseas destinations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).
Proficiency Required: This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors.
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
