You will serve as a Maintenance Planning Division Director in the Special Projects Division (C67A), Maintenance Planning Department (C67) of NAVSEALOGCENKYPTDIVNUWC MECH PA. This position is equivalent to the GS-13/14 level. The salary range shown above represents all of the positions within the band, including high grade positions. This is not a high grade position; therefore, the salary may be limited to a GS-13 Step 10 (currently $136,323).

Duties

You will serve as Contracting Officers Representative (COR), the business liaison between the agency and private contractors. You will serve as the focal point for Naval Sea Logistics Center (NSLC) Special Project work to include engaging with sponsors and customers to verify required deliverables. You will staff, develop, and manage a unit composed of technical and administrative personnel; plan, organize, and direct/lead work efforts; and provide training. You will coordinate efforts with program sponsors and customers, In-Service Engineering Agents, and NSLC managers to organize unit’s work; set priorities and develop schedules; assign resources and review work; monitor and report status.

  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11/12 grade level or NT-04 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: evaluating an assigned program for efficiency and making recommendations for process improvement.
