You will serve as a GENERAL BUSINESS AND INDUSTRY SPECIALIST within NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV. This announcement uses the Certain Personnel of the DoD direct hire authority to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

Duties

You will work at the direction of the Team Leader and Supervisor in development, maintenance, and analysis of government Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) and other schedule related products in accordance with Cost Department Processes and Toolkits. You will build and maintain good relationships and interfaces with the customer and team members (Cost Department, Competencies, Academia, etc.) and serve as customer point of contact for IMS development efforts. You will analyze and interpret high level, broadly stated, directives and instructions, and to determine their proper application within schedule development. You will provide analyses of cost and schedule performance trends and communicating risks and potential impacts to customers.

  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • This is a bargaining unit position.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (DA-04, GS-11/12) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized Experience must demonstrate the following: 1. Ensures that all products and services provided to Cost Department Customers are in accordance with established Cost Department policy, procedures and processes. 2. Provides Cost Department Customers with cost products that are accurate, timely, and consistent and meet Cost Department quality standards. 3. Performs analyses for systems in all phases of the life cycle (development, production, sustainment) and involve state-of-the-art engineering and manufacturing techniques.
