The selectee of this position serves as a Supervisory Business and Industry Analyst responsible for the management and oversight of the United States Marshals Service (USMS) space, physical security, and real property programs.
This position is located in the Management Support Division / Arlington, VA.
Duties
As a Supervisory Business and Industry Analyst at the GS-1101-14 grade level, some of your typical work assignments may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Management and oversight of the USMS space, physical security, and real property programs.
Advise and consult with the USMS district managers and headquarters program managers, General Services Administration (GSA) concerning the acquisition, management, and disposal of real property as well as facility security requirements.
Work with Department of Justice (DOJ), Federal agencies and GSA to perform space surveys, coordinate acquisition or modification of lease space (occupancy agreements) and provides oversight of reimbursable funding agreements for repair, construction and renovation projects.
Conduct space planning, programming, budget formulation and execution, space acquisition, and review of architectural plans for all aspects of the construction programs.
Exercise full supervisory responsibility over subordinate positions.

Requirements
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or National.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a favorable determination of suitability for a Public Trust position.
- May be required to successfully complete a trial/probationary period.
- May be required to successfully complete a supervisory probation period.
- Status Candidates must meet time-in-grade requirements (52 weeks at the next lower grade level).

- The incumbent is required to complete a background investigation in order to obtain and maintain a security clearance or suitability determination.
Qualifications
TIME-IN-GRADE REQUIREMENTS: Merit Promotion and Veterans Employment Opportunity Act (VEOA) Status applicants must provide an SF50 Notice of Personnel Action that indicates proof of status and time-in-grade eligibility. The SF50 must include the position, title, series, grade, step, tenure, type of service (Competitive or Excepted) and career status (career or career-conditional). No award SF50 will be accepted as proof of status and time-in-grade eligibility.
One year at the GS-13 grade level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-14 grade level.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: To be considered minimally qualified for this position, you must demonstrate that you have the education and/or experience required for the grade level(s) to which you apply.
To qualify at the GS-14 grade level, you must meet the following:
Specialized Experience: Experience that equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. You must have at least one year (12 months) of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service performing the following duties:
Coordinating and executing space, physical security, and real property programs;
Managing and tracking budget execution for space, physical security, and real property programs;
Monitoring the use of resources, equipment, and facility requirements for program support; and
Reviewing architectural plans of construction projects to determine their efficiency and effectiveness.
There is no education substitution at the GS-14 grade level.
