About the Position: Serves as the G1, Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC), Human Resources Officer with responsibility for planning, directing and administering the military and civilian human resources management program for MICC.
This position is within the U.S. Army Mission and Installation Contracting Command.
Duties
Serves as the G1, Mission and Installation Contract Command’s (MICC) HQ, Human Resources Officer with responsibility for planning, directing and administering the military and civilian human resources management program for MICC.
Develops policy, methodologies, and procedures to accomplish mission requirements and objectives.
Interfaces with Department of the Army Headquarters staff, Civilian Human resource Advisory Center (CPAC) staff, and Civilian Human resource Operations Center (CPOC) staff.
Serves as advisor to the Commander and Senior Leadership of MICC on critical and essential human resource policies and programs.
Serves as key member of agency resource planning teams that consider budget, manpower, human resource, and mission aspects of management and resource issues such as downsizing, realignments, and reorganizations.
Performs the full range of administrative and technical supervisory duties.
Assigns work and establishes priorities; evaluates performance of subordinates; gives advice, counsel, and/or instruction to subordinates on both work and administrative matters.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of
employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 15% of the time.
- Supervisory probationary period may be required.
- In accordance with AR 690-11, this position has been designated as "Emergency-Essential". Emergency-Essential designation takes precedence over any transportation agreement or military recall status.

Specialized Experience: one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the NH-03/GS-13 grade level in the Federal service which includes: 1) Provide advice or guidance to leadership on human capital programs; 2) Interpret human resources regulations in order to provide guidance to an organization; AND 3) Lead human resources professionals engaged in organization wide HR operations functions in areas such as recruitment, classification, workforce development, Military personnel, incentive awards, and operational human resources support. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/ level position in the federal service (NH-03).

This is a High Level NH-04 in AcqDemo. This position is not subject to a salary control point and is eligible for the full salary range of the NH-04 payband. If the incumbent's salary currently exceeds the stated salary control point the incumbent's salary control point will be set at the incumbent's existing salary.
