About the Position: Serves as the Chief, Military Personnel Division, Headquarters, Installation Management Command (IMCOM), G1, Human Resources (HR) Directorate located in Ft. Sam Houston, TX.
Duties
You will travel to Directorate Offices and Installations to evaluate personnel plans, programs and resource issues.
Develop innovative personnel processes and evaluation tools through business process reviews and quality management.
You will be responsible for the Command Well-Being program that integrates the entire spectrum of physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well-being for Soldiers and their family members on installations Army-wide.
You will have direct oversight for the CP 50 intern program with partnerships with business and industry and other Service Departments.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.
- A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.

Specialized Experience: I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service which includes, participating in the development, execution and evaluation of the Human Resources Strategic Plan that ensures all resource issues, including budget, manpower. Participating in operational planning with management to determine the effect of proposed command-wide changes on Military Human Resources programs world-wide with particular emphasis on Soldier Readiness, Soldier Deployment Readiness Processing; Mobilization; and Force Protection.
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-14).
