About the Position: This position serves as a Secretary of the General Staff for the U.S. Army Security Assistance Command. The Army's Face to the World, the one-stop focal point for Army FMS, and the international partner of choice in U.S. Security Assistance.
Duties
Advise the Command Group on plans, policies, methods, and procedures.
Issue policies based on directives from higher echelons.
Regulate key aspects of command programs, productivity, and strategic management decisions.
Engage with senior management from various departments.
Serve as the Command focal point and point of contact for coordination of support services.
Requirements
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a top secret security clearance.
- In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, employee must successfully pass a urinalysis screening prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
- Percentage of time to be spent TDY is up to 15%.
- A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
- This position has been designated as "Key" and shall not be vacated during a national emergency or mobilization as doing so would seriously impair the capability of the organization to function effectively.
- Must obtain appropriate Security Cooperation Workforce Development requirements.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes providing executive/senior-level administrative support, synchronization, and coordination for complex organizational operations; planning, budgeting, and managing administrative programs; interpreting general policies, directives, and regulations pertaining to the command; preparing executive level correspondence and coordination with higher echelons; and developing performance plans, conducting evaluations, and making decisions on staffing and training needs. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).
