You will serve as a CUSTOMER ADVOCATE (ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL) in the Command Department (00), Customer Advocate Division (0CA) of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER. This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-06 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to the GS-14 and GS-15.

Duties

You will manage senior level customer relationships with program offices and in coordination with Technical Project Managers and line Division Managers. You will develop and coordinate strategies to most effectively fulfill customer demand. You will conduct workload forecasting, participate in strategic planning and technical capabilities planning and participate in national strategic assessments, long term master planning, and other strategic activities. You will monitor customer satisfaction through interface with the Technical Project Managers and senior level customers. You will act as senior level point of contact for customer feedback. You will perform strategic planning and collaborate with senior level managers, customers, Chief Strategists, Mission Area Directors, and other Division Customer Advocates to ensure future customer needs are met.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • MSP/PPP applicants must currently hold the required security clearance.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower pay band, NT-05 (GS-13/14 equivalent grade level) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: leading or managing programs efforts in the development of strategic plans to ensure development of the workforce, effective execution of workload, and quality of support and services to assigned customers.
