The selectee of this position serves as a Management and Program Analyst responsible for conducting special studies and analyses to address Asset Forfeiture issues and recommending corrective actions on problems encountered by USMS Districts, Headquarters and other Federal agencies.
This position is located in the Asset Forfeiture Division / Arlington, Virginia.
Duties
As a Management and Program Analyst at the GS-0343-11/12 grade level, some of your typical work assignments may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Using qualitative and quantitative techniques to analyze data.
Preparing spreadsheets, statistical, and analytical reports on a recurring and as needed basis.
Developing and conducting training.
Implementing new or improved business and management practices.
Participating in team building and customer service improvement initiatives.

Requirements
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or National.

- Status Candidates must meet time-in-grade requirements (52 weeks at the next lower grade level).

Qualifications
TIME-IN-GRADE REQUIREMENTS: Merit Promotion and Veterans Employment Opportunity Act (VEOA) Status applicants must provide an SF50 Notice of Personnel Action that indicates proof of status and time-in-grade eligibility. The SF50 must include the position, title, series, grade, step, tenure, type of service (Competitive or Excepted) and career status (career or career-conditional). No award SF50 will be accepted as proof of status and time-in-grade eligibility.
One year at the GS-09 grade level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-11 grade level.
One year at the GS-11 grade level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-12 grade level.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: To be considered minimally qualified for this position, you must demonstrate that you have the education and/or experience required for the grade level(s) to which you apply.
To qualify at the GS-11 grade level, you must meet one of the following:
Specialized Experience: Experience that equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. You must have at least one year (12 months) of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service performing the following duties:
Conducting special studies pertaining to asset forfeiture;
Evaluating asset forfeiture program processes;
Analyzing problems to make recommendations on technical issues;
Preparing training materials to conduct training; AND
Analyzing survey results to prepare summaries and reports.
OR
Education: You must have aPh.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or 3 full years (54 semester hours) of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree, in Business Administration, Operations Management, or other directly related field demonstrating the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work.
OR
Combination: You must have an equivalent combination of experience and education as described above that meets the total qualification requirements. Noting, only graduate education in excess of two years (36 semester hours) may be used when combining education and experience to qualify for positions at the GS-11 grade level.
To qualify at the GS-12 grade level, you must meet the following:
Specialized Experience: Experience that equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. You must have at least one year (12 months) of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service performing the following duties:
Advising management and personnel on asset forfeiture program matters;
Developing procedural or policy change recommendations;
Preparing training materials to conduct training;
Analyzing problems to make recommendations on technical issues;
Analyzing survey results to prepare summaries and reports; AND
Researching new or improved business and management practices for application to asset forfeiture programs.

Education
