Duties
Serves as a technical expert in support of Equipment Control Systems (ECS), conducts studies, gathers metrics and coordinates projects.
Support the functional, economic and technical analysis of alternative solutions regarding the integration of ECS into automated information/data systems that support the DLA Distribution supply chain and interfaces with the DLA Customer.
Support installation, configuration, design and sustainment of portfolio applications and automated information systems and associated equipment management solutions that interface with the DLA network.
Makes recommendations that contribute to the development of emerging technologies and solutions that enhance the use of Distribution Standard System (DSS), WMS and ECS functionality in support of DLA Distribution business processes.
Coordinates efforts of ad hoc groups (both internal and external to the DLA) working on systemic or unique projects related to ECS.
Plans, or conducts studies of a long range nature dealing with broad areas of future operations, technological developments and required interfaces, and recommends revisions to operational architectures.
Troubleshoots and maintains documentation on all aspects of the ECS process.

Qualifications
To qualify for an IT Specialist (SYSANALYSIS/OS), your qualifications must include:
A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-12 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:
Makes recommendations that contribute to the development of emerging technologies and solutions that enhance the use of Distribution Standard System (DSS), Warehouse Management System (WMS) and ECS functionality in support of DLA Distribution business processes.
Recommends action to develop/maintain and integrate the ECS implementation plan.
Plans, develops, and carries out vital IT projects.
Analyzes systems to permit accurate assessments of existing IT capabilities and determines the applicability of evolving technologies.
